Life Source Hotel

A family of hoteliers since 1960, Arli Hotels has made the concept of evolving tradition the core of its hospitality approach.

Deeply attuned to the needs of the areas in which it operates, the group has cultivated strong, human connections that have paved the way for a series of ambitious new projects over the years.

The idea of bringing together a range of immersive, nature-inspired experiences within a single, innovative space led to the creation of Life Source: a unique blend of food, hospitality and wellness. The structure includes two distinctively styled restaurants, a rooftop with panoramic views over Città Alta (the Old Town), and a dedicated wellness area for guests.

The new 12,000-square-metre hotel development was accompanied by a series of urban infrastructure works, including a pedestrian and cycle path complete with road and railway underpasses.

During construction, in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak—which hit the Bergamo area particularly hard—COSPE and client Arturo Lopez came up with the idea of displaying a large banner bearing the message “Bergamo #molamia!” (Bergamo #DontGiveUp!). First directed towards the nearby hospital, it was later turned to face the city.

The message quickly went viral, picked up by both social media and the press, and soon became a powerful symbol of solidarity during the darkest days of lockdown.
