In recent months, our company has been actively engaged in the implementation of the project “COSPE Business Development – Investment Attraction Line”, funded by the Regional Programme under the European Regional Development Fund 2021–2027 (Lombardy Region – PR FESR 2021–2027).
The project focuses on an investment plan aimed at leveraging the latest technologies available on the market to further advance our transition towards Industry 4.0. A key objective is to expand our fleet of company-owned machinery, thereby reducing reliance on equipment rental from external providers.
The ultimate goal is to enhance profitability through increased asset ownership and capitalisation, supported by a detailed rent-versus-buy analysis. For COSPE, this analysis indicates an economic advantage of approximately 30% in favour of the “buy” option over the “rent” option.
The investment programme includes the direct acquisition of new 4.0-compliant telehandlers, 4.0-equipped cranes, and next-generation excavators, all meeting the relevant Industry 4.0 criteria.
In addition, COSPE will purchase Business Intelligence software licences in 2024 to further enhance its management systems.
