A new Logistics Hub in the Vernea industrial area to create 200 jobs

Nichelino is set to welcome a new logistics hub that will bring at least 200 new jobs to the area. The project will be developed by COSPE Srl, which has acquired a 41,000-square-metre site from Finpiemonte Partecipazioni Spa, a regional holding company.

The land, located in the Vernea industrial zone, had been earmarked for redevelopment by the Municipality of Nichelino as part of the “Spazio Vernea” initiative launched three years ago. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and a sluggish real estate market, the regional system succeeded in unlocking the value of the site.

Over the coming months, COSPE will construct a state-of-the-art facility for storage and logistics operations, which will house a leading player in the food distribution sector.

“We’re proud to be attracting new businesses to our city,” commented the Mayor of Nichelino, expressing satisfaction at this important step toward local economic development.
